- Surface roots. Older maples in particular run roots across the lawn. We can chase those out too, it takes longer but the finish is far better.
- The chip is yours. We can backfill the hole with it, or take it away and leave you clean soil to seed. Your call.
- Utilities first. We check for lines before the machine starts. A grinder does not care what it finds.

What moves the price
- Tree size and height The single biggest factor. Taller trees need more equipment, more time and more crew.
- Proximity to structures Anything over a roof, a fence or a service drop has to come down in sections rather than be felled.
- Equipment access A gate under three feet wide changes which machine we can get in, and sometimes means hand work.
- Tree health and condition Dead, diseased or storm-damaged wood is unpredictable and slower to work safely.
