Tree Trimming & Pruning
Structural pruning that keeps canopies healthy and clear.
Dead, split, leaning, or simply too close to the house. We take trees down safely on tight properties and haul the wood out with us.
Overview
Some trees have to come down. Waiting rarely makes that cheaper, and after a hard winter it often makes it considerably more expensive. A brittle trunk that could have been dropped in an afternoon becomes an emergency once it is resting on a roof.
We remove trees of every size across Geneseo and Livingston County. Small ornamentals in fenced back gardens, and mature oaks and ash that need taking apart in sections because there is nowhere to drop them. Where access allows we bring equipment in; where it does not, we climb.

What To Look For
If any of this sounds like your situation, the site visit costs nothing and you will get a straight answer either way.
The Process
No surprises, and nothing starts before you have a written price in hand.
We walk the property, look at what is above and below the tree, and talk through the approach. You get a written price before anything is agreed.
Ground protection where equipment has to cross lawn, and a drop zone marked out. If anything about the plan changes on the day, we stop and tell you first.
Sectional dismantling with rigging where there is no room to fell, or a straight drop where there is. Either way it comes down on our terms.
Brush chipped, wood cut and hauled, ruts raked out. You can keep the wood for firewood if you want it, just say so beforehand.
Ask about stump grinding at the same visit. Doing it while we are already on site is nearly always cheaper than bringing the machine back separately.
Other Services
Often the same visit covers more than one of these.
Structural pruning that keeps canopies healthy and clear.
Grinding stumps below grade so the lawn goes back to normal.
Storm response for fallen and unstable trees.
Pricing
No surprises and no hidden extras. These are realistic ranges for Livingston County, based on the jobs we actually run.
These are ballpark ranges, not quotes. Height, access, what sits underneath the tree and its condition all move the number. The only way to get a real figure is a free on-site look, which we do at no charge.

Why we will not quote over the phone
No calculator can see your tree, your ground or what is underneath it. Anyone who gives you a firm price without looking is either guessing or planning to revise it once the saws are out. We come and look first, same day or next day where we can, and the visit costs nothing.

Local Guide
Called them, they came out, gave it a look, gave a fair price, did great work. They showed up just when they said they would (and it was HOT that day). I had a stump that I forgot to mention to them, so on the spot they said they would take care of it, and another stump which was close by. They didn't charge me for the stumps. Good equipment, knew what they were doing, and I will for sure call them again.

Near You
Most people find us searching for tree removal near me after a storm or a failed inspection. Here is what removal work actually looks like in each of the towns we cover.
Village lots with mature street maples and limited drop space, so most removals are done in sections.
Lakeside properties above Conesus where wind exposure does most of the damage.
Open farm edges and large-lot removals where a tree can usually be felled whole.
Tight shoreline access, often the hardest rigging jobs we take on.
West-side properties that take the worst of the winter wind off the lake.
Steep valley ground near Letchworth where footing dictates the approach.
Rural acreage, brush clearing and roadside line clearance.
Scheduled removal work on planned trips rather than same-day calls.

Common Questions
The questions we get asked most before booking this work.
It depends on size, species, access and what sits underneath the tree. A straightforward removal on open ground is a very different job from the same tree leaning over a roof. We give a written price after seeing it, and the visit is free.
On private property, usually not. Trees in the village right of way, on protected land, or covered by an HOA agreement can be different. If there is any doubt we will tell you before booking the work.
We can grind it on the same visit, which is nearly always cheaper than bringing the machine back separately. Say so when you call and it goes in the same quote.
We haul it away as standard. If you want it cut to length for firewood and left, that is fine, just tell us beforehand so we stack it rather than chip it.
Most residential removals are half a day to a full day. Large or crane-assisted jobs in tight spaces can run into a second morning for cleanup.
